I just left Brake and Tire Check located in Boerne with my 1969 Corvette Stingray where I had originally hesitated at first considering my car is a classic car. I’d like to say that the team there delivered an excellent, hassle-free experience with outstanding customer service, honest upfront advice, no pressure tactics, and friendly, professional staff. From start to finish, the team explained what needed attention clearly, prioritized safety and reliability, and never pushed unnecessary services, making me feel respected and well cared for. If you want reliable brakes or tires with honest guidance and a straightforward visit, this is the place to go!

Where to start. I always go to these guys for oil changes because it’s friendly, cheap and fast(except the last time where they charged me $80 for an oil change that normally costs a 1/3 of that due to the system being down but I let that slide even though it was a red flag. Today I went to get my breaks changed around 11:30 or 12. I told the young man at counter I needed my break pads changed. I then hand him my keys and he says “give us 30-45 minutes”..good time so I went to eat in order to pass some time. About 40 minutes pass and then I head back to the shop. Now post diagnosis they produce a litany of problems that equal to almost $600! I can change my owns breaks..I go and get them done out of convenience. I know how cheap these materials are and how easy they are to install. I’m not stupid. Plus I just asked you to change my pads. I didn’t ask for an inspection! If I wanted to change the rotors I would have done it myself!! Finally the manager(great guy and I’ve had nothing but good interactions with him including today) said he would drop the price and he did substantially which I appreciated. But my time I will never get back. After dropping the price the manager comes back and tells me that they do not have to correct break pads so I courier from a neighboring location would bring the part. The guy was coming from Round Rock and then brings the part to the wrong location. How does this happen? We have Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps and people still get lost? How? I am normally a respectful and calm person but they brought the devil out of me today. Once again the discount was appreciated but the execution was poor all around. I don’t know if I will ever go back to this location and this is regrettable because they are great for oil changes. In summation this could have been avoided had the techs I interacted with would have been forthright. Don’t say the inspection is 30 minutes and then take over an hour to inspect. When I first arrived it was not busy at all. Secondly, just give the customer what they ask for..it doesn’t matter. I will just go back to doing my own work. I appreciate the manager’s gesture and the discount that was given to me but I think I am done with this company. Edit: I changed the review. I was grumpy today when they told me about my two bald tires and front end alignment issues so the manager cut me a good deal on the tires, alignment and oil change. I felt bad afterwards because it needed to be done I just didn't want to spend the money right now because things are tight. They did a good job and I will be back.

I really like this store. The people are great. There were some issues with their supplier on getting some parts, but these guys persevered and made it happen. I’ve come to this location for years and the customer service I received from Nick will keep me coming back for years to come.

I arrived early for my appointment. They went ahead and pulled my vehicle back. They began work when my parts arrived at my schedule appointment time. They kept me apprised of progress during the process. The prices are competitive.

The workers were really friendly and transparent about what needed to be fixed and the pricing. I scheduled an appointment online for a free brake check and oil change, and both services took less than 30 minutes, which was really fast. I will definitely be coming back for future car services.

They were very polite, very professional, and they didn't talk down to me or try to rip me off just because I am a woman, like most automotive place do. And they did a great job with my alignment and oil change, no issues what so ever!

Accurate fast service

Best price out of any auto mechanic I could find. My final price was less than even the quote that I got online and it was 35% less than any other mechanic, and I called six. And it was for all four wheels ( two axles),not just two, like the other businesses I called. I would recommend this place to everybody so you can save money, and a lot of it.

I got front brakes, rear brakes, and rear rotors. I also had an alignment under a 3 year warranty that needed correction. My service was great! No more squeaky noises my car pulling to the right.

Had my brakes done here about five months ago and was experiencing some squeaking and a lot of brake dust. I was concerned that there might be something wrong with the pads so I brought it in to have it checked. Everything was good the manager assured me that all was well. They cleaned up the brakes got the dust off of everything and even rotated my tires for me. Outstanding service, awesome place, thanks.

I came in needing an alignment, the service performed by the tech was speedy and thorough, I wish I had his name but I forgot to ask. The price is unbeatable, I have a newish car – 2019. I was fully expecting to pay $150 at least. I got out with paying $60, just unheard of in today's day and age. I had worried about possible suspension damage due to hitting a pothole, the manager Marcos looked it over and was unable to find any mechanical damage and gave me that piece of mind (instead of attempting an upsale, which I've come so accustomed to). Beyond the excellent service and prices, Marcos sat and helped me understand my options for brakes and rotors replacement, or just resurfacing. I felt no pressure in anyway to agree to repairs or to even get the work done there, although with the service I received, I would want the work done there. I highly recommend for anyone to take your car in here for any alignment, tire or brake service, and for a peace of mind that the work is being completed correctly. Thank y'all!

I purchased a used car, and the brake pad literally fell out. Brake fluid spilled everywhere, and I pulled into a break check and called a tow. A stranger walked in and told them he was getting his daughter’s car fixed, and he paid for all of my services as well. It was such a blessing. I’m not saying that will be everyone’s experience here, but a year later, I only go to this service center and I’ve never had an issue. This is honestly a great place to get your vehicle serviced. The new manager here is also very knowledgeable, and the staff is helpful.

Brandon was incredibly inviting throughout my entire visit. He regularly updated me on next steps. The empoyees doing said labor stuck to the time frame I was given for completion. Overall, I absolutely recommend Brake and Tire Check.

Did an alignment. It was initially not aligned well… it was pulling to the right. Three days later, I went back to them and expressed my concern about the wheel pulling to the right. They rectified the issue no questions asked and under the time they quoted me. I gave them 5 stars not because it was done right the first time. It is because how they addressed the complaint/issue brought to them.

Honestly love the brake check company really fast oil changes and great pricing on everything i didn’t know there was a location closer to my home by San Pedro originally went to the other 281 location for brakes and they had the best staff so I went to this location for a oil change and it wasn’t any different the guys there are the best and don’t even let me leave my car before they greet me they make sure to get you in and out plus I got %50 on my oil change what a steal!!!

They showed me exactly what was wrong with my brakes, broke down the price for me, and explained what they needed to do in a way that was easy to understand.

Kind and efficient

The reps/ employees at this location are extremely nice. I called and asked if I could run in and out quickly due to my koi “ oh yes come on in and we will be quick “ , and they were. They were down to earth. Very satisfied with the oil change etc… They have my business going forward.

Came here for a check before I roadtrip north and Jahar was super helpful and transparent about what my car needed. All of the other guys that helped were kind as well and thorough in explaining what was going on with my tires and brakes. I have been coming here for a couple years now and don’t plan on stopping.

After I was quoted $970 dollars to get all my brakes and a rotor changed these guys took care of me in under 1hr and 30mins and did it for $452! They even stayed after they closed to fix my car for me. I am so greatful!!

Came in super overdue for a break check, got all four break pads and rotors fixed for a super reasonable price. My dad always takes my car in so I was a little nervous about getting overcharged but Spencer was amazing. Super nice and transparent about all aspects of the service. Didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need which we all appreciate. Will be back!

I've been going here for awhile now. However, the last time was not my favorite. This is very lazy and has never happened before, not sure why they placedmy sticker over the old one smh. My assumption for my displeasure this time has to be from the employees that were there. Otherwise, I've always had good experiences. This is pure laziness… I have never had a company place the new sticker over the old sticker.

Currently 5/5/26 the AC in the office doesn't work. I had to wait for my car and I was not aware of this ahead of time. I was covered in sweat by the time my break check and oil change were done. Management I suggest offering your customers cold bottle water from a cooler and provide fans to help move the air. While the door was open the outside air was not coming in. It's 84 out with humidity in the 70's. Brian was very friendly and explained everything well! He is doing a fantastic job!

I came to get my tire checked because the light had been flickering on and off for a few weeks. Since I was there I asked for an alignment as well. The workers there at the time admitted they wouldn’t be the best hands to fix my alignment since my car wasn’t the usual BUT told me to come in the next day to get a worker who could. I came the next day got an alignment, oil change, helpful tip for the light and they also checked my filter for me. Everybody was very patient, kind and not pushy at all. I appreciate the help guys!

I brought my vehicle to Brake Check for an alignment check after another shop installed new front suspension components. The alignment felt off, and the front end was making a loud clicking/clunking sound. The team at Brake Check found the problem almost immediately. Multiple bolts on the newly installed suspension components were loose and not torqued properly by the other shop. They actually brought me into the shop and showed me exactly what was loose and where the problem was, instead of just trying to explain it. They torqued everything to spec, test drove the vehicle, confirmed the clunking noise was gone, and then completed the alignment I originally came in for. Honestly, they most likely saved me from a major vehicle failure or even an accident down the road. This is why Brake Check has been my go-to place for alignments for over two years on multiple vehicles. They have always been honest, thorough, and professional, and they genuinely care about ensuring the work is done correctly and safely. It is hard to find a shop you can consistently trust, but this location has earned my trust. I highly recommend them for alignments and suspension work.

The service people were nice. But I told them from the beginning that I wanted my old tires back. But I was still charged the recycle/registration fee. I was told by their manager, Shawn, that it was a stated regulation charge even though I was keeping my tires and they were not recycling them for me. My visit was going well until that point. So disappointed in the end.

Courteous and very knowledgeable. Mechanical work on the steering mechanism that I would not have expcted at BC was completed with care and xpertise!
